Supply chain management officer for a VA Health Care System (CAVHS) with multiple sites of care and supported catchment area, responsible for the development and integration of a cohesive, forward-looking supply chain that ensures the logistical requirements of the CAVHS with multiple sites of care and supported catchment area are met.
Plans and manages all levels of supply chain activities involved in sourcing, procurement and logistics management.
Coordinates and collaborates with a variety of stakeholders; including clinicians, professional/administrative peers, suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers.
Serves as the logistics management officer for a CAVHS (with multiple sites of care)
and supported catchment area, integrating acquisitions and procurement, logistics and related support and services for the supply chain, expendable/non-expendable (EX/NX) and capital equipment, inventory management, storage and distribution operations, total supply support, and in some cases transportation, mail room, and reproduction.
Oversees, guides, manages and integrates supply chain operations across the organization, including planning and coordination with fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations.

Reviews all requisitions to ensure proper utilization of government property and screening for the appropriate use of mandatory sources of supply, appropriate vendors, use of item master file, appropriate classification, determination of appropriate funding codes, inventory of controlled substances, inventory validations (i.e., narcotics, ammunition, etc.),
providing for required separation of duties within the supply chain, and related property management responsibilities.
Leverages life cycle management practices to ensure efficient allocation of resources for assets through the entire lifecycle (which includes planning, requirement determination,
procurement, maintenance/upgrade, management/utilization and disposal).
Develops strategies to assist supported activities and the acquisition staff with Advanced Procurement Planning (APP), evaluating products and services for award, championing the use of standardized products through management of awarded contracts, ensuring receipt documentation is properly executed for payment, facilitating achievement of socio-economic
